Notes for Walkers
Responsibility
All walkers walk at their own risk
All members of Ramblers are covered on group walks for 3rd party liability
You are however responsible for your own safety
Notify the leader if you intend leaving the walk at any point
Start Time
Please note that times stated are for the start of the walk - walkers should be ready to leave at this time
Unless there is a problem then the leader will always be at the start ready to move at the appointed time - in the unlikely event that the leader is not there & cannot be contacted then it is suggested walkers allow 15minutes before deciding what to do
Walking Etiquette
Please do not walk in front of the leader
When walking please look behind from time to time especially when changing direction to make sure that those
following have seen which way to go
Refreshments
Drinks and bar snacks are usually available at lunchtime unless otherwise stated
Do not embarrass the leader or the publican by consuming your own food or drink in pubs or pub gardens unless
permission has been given
If you use any pub facility, toilet or car park you should at least buy a drink
Please bring any other refreshments you may require during the walk
Weather
Check with leader if you have any doubt about the walk taking place
